The golden age of the hand-painted movieposters is gone, but the art is brought to life again when meeting norwegian filmhistory. A 4.5 X 2.5 m painting was ordered from one of the last remaining poster-painting studios in Mumbai, Bollywood. A schetch showing pictures of selected norwegian actors put together in a fictional drama was given to the indian artists, and the process was thoroughly documented in Mumbai. The result was presented in an exhibition that showed the process of creating the painting, and told the story about the craft and traditions of movieposter-painting in a setting reminiscent of Mumbai.
