Mastruka is a Comalab agency project. It takes inspiration from italian tradition and in particular sardinian identity and culture. The brand explores the dark side of folklore and popular tradition with a modern language. All the Sa.Collection illustrations are populated by ancient figures of holy rituals like the Mamuthones, Su Bundu, Hissoadores and others. Every character has his own personality and it's recognizable by his mask. This curious cast of actors inspired me to create other characters who acts in a contemporary dress. So that someone becomes a gangster, another an air balloon and so on. Ancient pictograms of cave art are also part of the designs created for Mastruka.
