Played around with Adobe Illustrator CS5 and I must say that putting complex paths together has never been easier with the help of new tools.

Shape Builder - is of the pathfinder family of tools, it let's you simplify and merge complex layering of paths instantly.

Draw Normal / Behind / Inside - These tools are awesome. Quick layering and masking options specially the Draw Inside Tool, it lets you transform a basic path to a complex one by instantly adding effects.

Width Tool - Let's you vary the stroke thickness on paths instantly. It's just amazing.

Artboard Tab on Layers Panel - Lets you jump from one artboard to another. editing multiple projects in a single design file has never been easier.

Other Tools and Effects for this project - Gradient / Blend / Warp / Distort and Transform

Everything has been streamlined for Illustrator CS5, tons of new stuff and improved commands. This new version of AI dramatically improves my workflow. Try it and see the difference. It is highly recommend to upgrade asap! Read Less
