- Manifest Urban Arts Festival 2011
Creative Director Proposal
I've always found Chicago to be in a permanent state of endearing chaos.
Millions of people doing millions of things each day. An energy wave of cramped trains and daredevils who cross streets without looking both ways. Our city is diverse, our city is colorful, our city is big, loud, and full of even bigger and louder personalities.
Even more important to me is that percent of the population that makes up the Columbia College community. It takes a certain imaginative soul to throw caution to the wind and immerse themselves in the more beautiful things in life. Without artists a pall would be cast over our city. We bring the color, the energy and the magnetism.
In creating my Manifest designs, I focused on representing the feel of our bustling, urban environment. I want every Chicagoan to relate to these designs, and see themselves as an integral ingredient in their creation.
