Malus is the world’s first ‘terroir spirit’, an apple based distillation that combines the traditions of cognac, whisky and calvados. It is presented as an extremely rare offering for the very select few (in fact, just 1000 bottles are produced per year). We were involved from the beginning of the conceptualisation process, and provided design input on decanter design, packaging details, and marketing collateral.
The final logo takes the form of a monogram, highlighting the preciousness of just a single drop of Malus.
The Packaging consists of several layers of packaging beginning with a black card box with the M monogram UV varnished on all four sides and a carry handle on top, contained inside the box is the 'sepal' which is a glossy container that holds the precious golden liquid. The orb shaped decanter is blown glass making each decanter unique and precious, even the inside of the decanter stoppers contain an engraving of the monogram logo.
*the 'sepal' container depicted here is now in-fact a deep purple colour but i decided to show the gold version. (personal preference)
