As a response to Mechanicsville, Madison & Kohlhase was created with the intent to focus on a specific intersection, while manipulating all the familiarities of a location, and how it is observed in time. Layers indicate a directionless architecture, colors recall the atmosphere and conviction of the town. A video compiling the process behind the piece was filmed while painting.
