Mad Ball - Game Project

History
An entrance to the SomethingAwful forum yearly game development challenge 2012 . There was a month time limit, and let me tell you I worked a few long days on this. I was solely responsible for the graphics and art direction.

We both judging and people's choice awards.
Gameplay
The game revolves around keeping guests arriving at your ball happy, wining and dining them, and finding the occasional love interest. When things get hairy though you may need to resort to some rash actions - clubbing a guest with the statue if they are behaving badly and dragging them to the trash can is sometimes a good strategic move. And watch out for those candles!

Animation Progress
Because of the time limit animations had to be contructed in a way that would save the most time, so movement is consticted to body parts that that absolutely need to move, while the rest remains static. In the hit -animation a static game object is added to the animation according to the situation.

Future Plans
As the game did so well and we were very pleased with it, we have plans on bringing it to pc and ios as a paid title, as soon as we find time from other projects. Check Freeholdgames.com for latest updates on out game development ventures.
