A selection of illustrations from my children's book Michael Monkey's Banana Tree for the Macmillan competition. This book is based on the proverb 'mighty oaks from little acorns grow', telling the story of a monkey who grows his own banana tree as he cannot believe something so big grows from something so small. He embarks upon an adventure as the tree grows so huge he can't get up, so he finds a way to do so. This book is aimed at 5 year olds and teaches skills such as negotiating, manners, sharing and organized thinking.
