The installation has been created to provoke the viewer into spending a
moment to think about some of the effects the smartphone has in our
current society and potentially the future.
By putting down your phone and using the light to bring the piece to life,
you aren't being distracted and you can reflect on the subject properly.
It was refreshing to create a response to my research which didn't throw
mind boggling statistics at the viewer. This approch allows you to reflect on
your own relationship with the smartphone and may provoke you to make
individual changes if your habits are particularly unhealthy.
