Our client, MRA is an advertising services and consulting firm that came to the agency with a request for a brand video. They initially thought they wanted a simple text-based video that explained their services, but luckily, they were open to other ideas.
Armed with their direction and a script, I drew up storyboards for three visual solutions. The first was the simple animated type, as requested. The next was still animated type, but had a stronger theme that gave the script more of a narrative.
The last was a simple story abouta rocket and its journey to success. It was whimsical, it had some humor, andit illustrated the brand message in a thoughtful manner—I knew it was the best way to tell their story. And, when we presented the concepts to the client, it was clear they agreed.
From there, I had the pleasure of working with animation talents at Janimation (janimation.com). I knew we had the right team when their Creative Director started making goofy sound effects and wild character gestures. From my simple story boards inspired by Saul Bass, they made beautiful backgrounds and fun character designs.
The end result was a video that brought the brand to life in a compelling way.
