The 2nd Space Age

ProblemFor 2050, living spaces will be faced with the problem of insufficient space and water will make a very limited resource.

Solution
Through an analysis of user, from different approaches such as Interviews and shadowning (follow especific user), I proposed different concepts and I choosed morf because the business opportunity that it can have is huge.

Morf, a dish based on nanotechnology that will change the way people consume food in future homes.
On the one hand, there is a price reduction on a final product having three possible service that takes little energy to do its dimensional change, the characteristics of the material that is formed are high strength, longer life and does not take much space to include several dishes in one piece
otherwise save up to 90% water, avoid using it to wash

Individual project  in spring 2010
Status project : in development of the idea

It has three different options of dishes: soup, small expanded and  big expanded.

To use it you must first unlock the system by sliding your finger to the left, illuminating the three options in the dish at the top of morf and thus to choose the desired one.
When you finish eating the food, you can activate the automatic wash on the same dish (marked with a drop of water) to return to its original shape.

Considering the problems mentioned above developed a smart plate with properties such as:

-Controlled roughness
Morf, consists of a polymer matrix designed to affect a certain area of the matrix in order to change the physical property of roughness by controlling the coefficient of friction in order to slide the food and the dish is clean automatic, all this through an electrical impulse.

-Induced shape memory and Mechanical Strength
The same energy, generates a thermal shock, there are 3 different levels of heat, which generates the 3 different plate sizes or shapes. One way to each level of heat.
Additionally, construction-based nanoparticles modifies the mechanical strength causing Morf, is unbreakable, scratch-resistant as well as avoiding chipping 100%.

This technology already exists but has not been applied commercially.
