OBJECTIVE:
Create a product that will help seniors (and anyone else who needs help) remember to take their medication and/or vitamins on time.
I decided on this topic because, as part of my Focus setting interviews with the target demographic, I found that there was a very noticeable pattern, many of my interviewees had problems remembering to take their medication and/or vitamins.
This is a serious problem as not taking important medication can often lead to a worsening of the existing medical condition and sometimes cause new conditions.

Myself, along with a few friends, tested out a few of the pill storage products sold in stores.

After experiencing some of these products in realtime, I was able to create a system to rate other products of this type.

MONO is a pill storage and organizing product with built in digital reminder and portable pill module.

Rather than being organized by day of the week, MONO is organized by pill type. The size of the pill compartments are such that each compartment can hold up to 3 weeks worth of pills (even more for smaller sized pills).
LABELS & MARKERS FOR PILL ORGANIZATION
MONO is sold with labels and markers (white labels for clear covers and clear labels for opaque covers). The user is to write the medication/vitamin name on the label and cross out the time of day symbol that doesn't apply. Labels can easily be removed by pulling up on the non-stick corner.
DIGITAL REMINDER
The digital reminder can be set to go off at multiple times per day.
