MIT's Emma Rogers Society Handbook

  • The Emma Rogers Society at MIT
    Introductory Handbook
  • The Emma Rogers Society was established as a way to keep widows of MIT alumni and faculty members connected to the Institute in their own right. After the Institute learns of the death of an alumnus or alumna, the society then sends an information packet to his/her spouse. Within that packet is a handbook to inform the widow/widower of what services The Emma Rogers Society offers and how it was founded.

The Senior Graphic Designer, Eric Keezer and I were given the opportunity to redesign the folder as well as the mailers contained within it. My job specifically was to redesign the booklet and collaborated on the folder.
  • My inspiration was influenced by small elements from the logo which I carried out in the ornamental pattern throughout each page including the decorative frame surrounding Emma's portait . For me, it reflected not only the era that Emma Rogers was alive but also the idea of portraits or photos attached with loving and cherish memories.
