Xochitl name means flower and Quetzal, beautiful, 'flower bird', 'flower rich feather' or 'beautiful flower', and is the young goddess of beauty, flowers, love, pleasure loving,and the arts . Is one of the two goddesses connected with the fertility of nature and beauty, perhaps because it is represented as Centéotl daughter or wife. Xochiquetzal,"precious flower" grew out of the hair of the mother goddess.
