I think I was like 12 years old and in second grade on high school where my best friends gave me the nickname Maldo - which I think is somehow derived from my surname Malacek.
Anyhow over the years it stuck with me and I've been using it since then. More importantly it also became my online nick & artist moniker. In 2013 I decided to give it an actual visual form. So I designed a very simple black&white identity consisting of a logotype and a few icons which somehow describe me and my approach or things that are important in my work. I also tried to push this icon-idea a bit further and made a morphing animation out of it. All illustrated icons also work great as a pattern bound together with little white dots representing stars. I use it for example on business cards or as a background on twitter.
