MABE is a high end boutique hair salon situated in the Eastern suburbs of Adelaide. MABE engaged us to develop their brand and supporting collateral. Hand illustrated scissors combined with bespoke typography was used to reflect the unique service MABE provides and to pay homage to their historic craft. The stationery was printed on an uncoated, textural paper to give an elevated finish, this was embellished with a gold foil to deliver a premium look and feel. The success of the brand saw MABE becoming a highly sought after hair salon, nowadays it can take up to three weeks to get an appointment. MABE was awarded finalist in both the Adelaide Art Directors and Design Club Awards 2012 and the Nation Desktop Create Awards 2012.
