Lynda.com Documentary (2013)

Wednesday, December 18th 2013
This past summer I had the priviledge of being documented for Lynda.com's Creative Spark series. Over the span of a couple days they observated my daily activities and interviewed me about my process.

Day One

Filmed in my Adobe office in San Francisco, this day was filled with my personal explorations as well as my interactions with fellow collaborators. Working through the logic of code and the observations of reality, my process is a pedulum that swings through the modes of technology, design, & art with a steady pulse. Each serving to adequately distracting the other as they vie for attention.

Special thanks to my fellow collaborators, Michelangelo Capraro and Nick Lamkin, who's inputs I greatly appreciate and am proud to have documented.

Day Two

Was spent at my house capturing a difffernt kind of collaboration as I paint and drew with my son, Leo(3). It's almost cliché to say it's important to look at the world through a childs eyes (at least that is what I felt before having kids). It is pretty amazing to see how they observe and test the boundaries of their environment.

The second part of this day was done filming me out in nature at the nearby Presidio Park. As resourcefull as the internet(s) can be, there is no substitute for getting outside to explore the natural environment. Also providing that necessary 'breathing' of the mind from focused thinking to allow ideas to rumminate.

I can't thank the Lynda.com team enough for taking their time, talent, and curiousity to create something I honored to be a part of and grateful to have.
