My recent work has revolved around tape. I make stencils out of tape and experiment with mark making and texture. My patterns all consist of multiple layers of paint, each of which is meticulously stenciled out with a layer of tape. I really enjoy "weaving" the layers together and playing with the idea of background, foreground, and different planes existing in a space where nothing is truly on top or on bottom.
