  • Budget cuts had forced Los Angeles libraries to close two days a week and reduce hours the other days. We focused on the importance of libraries for children, families, and seniors. Drop caps, sidebars, symbols, and rich content, all associated far more with book design than political mail, referenced the subject matter and created a trustworthy, informative feel.
