The »LookCookBook« is not a normal cook book. Acting like a manual, the publication offers a set of instructions for preparing a particular dish, including a list of ingredients solely based on rigorously defined sets of graphical symbols. Replacing nouns and predicates with graphics instead, the result is a prime example of graphic design’s core task of acting as a universal communication medium beyond verbal and written language.
The publication received several awards including »iF communication design award 2005«, »German design award 2006« and »Brno Biennial 2008«.
