London Lab was a concept I used to change classic things around London into new elements to interpret the lifestyle, attitude, beliefs and values of Londoners.I created this series of images to help the audience to get to know London and Londoners.
The “L” shape represented the capital letter of both “London” and “Lab”. It was also a test tube filled with orange liquid which I called the London Lab Potion. New elements could be created by pouring out the potion onto the objects. Using the London Lab Potion, the symbol of the London underground could change into a colourful cup of noodles. A penguin became smarter. The London Eye was transformed into a dandelion. Individuals in different colours mixed into a colourful brain. All these new elements connoted the fast-paced lifestyle, a learning attitude, a belief of freedom and the magnanimous values of Londoners. Read Less
