This special, limited edition of the LomoKino was commissioned for the Cannes Film Festival, 2011. We produced a limited edition of 300 to be distributed among the jury of the film festival and cult film directors attending the venue.
This black leather edition, combined with a custom hand-hammered aluminium silver plate on the back (indicating the exclusive number of the edition) was developed in homage to French-Swiss director Jean-Luc Godard. Its famous credit tiles, the 1960s French film movement "La Nouvelle Vague" with whom he is often identified, and the Silent film era were the start point to design this emblematic edition.
With this 35mm movie camera you can shoot a movie of 144 frames on any 35mm film. The LomoKinoscope viewer allows you to watch your developed LomoKino movies in the most analogue way possible.
I was in charge of the creative direction, concept development and product design management of the collection. Worked on packaging, product, book/manual design and worldwide marketing collateral material and launch campaigns throughout the online, retail and wholesale channels.
