    Logo and a brand name for bus travel company
  • A new brand for long-distance bus travel in Germany wants to take position on this market at an early stage.

    TASK DEFINITION
    • Come up with ideas for a holistic branding of a new long-distance bus travel company
    • The product needs a memorable name and an appealing Corporate Design

    TONALITY

    • trustworthy
    • competent
    • service oriented
    • charming
    • appealing to both audiences

    TARGET GROUP
    • The core target group are younger travellers (up to 39 years) and older travellers ( from 60 years up).
    • What they have in common: they are sensitive to costs and less sensitive to time.
    • The younger audience favors buying tickets on the internet and especially looks at frequent and short travel durations.
    • The older audience prefers to buy tickets via phone, at a travel agent or directly with the driver. They are increasingly discovering long-distance busses as an alternative and are especially focues on relaxation and comfort when travelling.
    • I think if a company wants to be No.1 bus travel service in Germany, it's logical to put "German" in it's name. It brings power and prestige to it's name, and gaines customers/traveler's trust in company.

    • Word "Tours" is common in travelling services and whenever you hear or see the word you know it has something to do with travelling (touring). It also sounds like or associate to "tourism".Name could also be in German language, but I think it's better to leave it in English becouse it's more friendly and easier to recognize to foreign tourists.

    • I embeded brand name in shape of bus so people recognize it at first sight, and even from a distance.


    • Here is the Eco-friendly version ov logo.

    • Logo is made of initials of "German Tours".

    • In the empty space between the G and T letters you can see a shape of the bus. This way it's clear at first sight that this is a bus-travel company.

    • Logo is positioned in perspective angle, and end lines from letters are formed that way so it gives viewer a feeling that bus is mooving fast.

    • Red colour is royal or kings colour. It represents status. It's saying German tours is offering high class service, such as drinks, snacks, newspaper, power outlets, Wifi and film screening.

    • Letters shape goes around bus which represents protection and safety. You can feel safe and sure. German Tours can be trusted.

    • King Tours  -  Royal service, cheap prices.

    • Logo icon that makes the crown is actually a road

    • Peaks (dots) on the crown are destinations or towns that King Tours drives to.
