Shortly after we founded Playground Creative in the summer of 2007, we decided we needed a big cool project to wet our chops, gel the team and get our name out. Tom had been nursing this idea for a non-profit that engaged the local music scene to create events that raised food, funds and awareness for child hunger relief in St. Louis. Thus LiveFeed was born.
We built it from scratch, fueled by excitement, ambition and a touch of young-and-hungry naivete. I was primarily responsible for strategy, drafting legal and marketing copy, designing the identity and website as well as event posters and other ephemera.
LiveFeed went on to win the prestigious Social Entrepreneurship and Innovation Award from Washington University's Skandalaris Center. We hosted dozens of successful music events around St. Louis and raised over 55,000 lbs of food.
