Christopher Poehlmann and CP Lighting are pleased to introduce a new series of tables and shelving. Inspired by Nakashima and all his followers, Poehlmann's latest exploration in modern rustic design is called newGROWTH LiveEdge. Expanding upon his successful newGROWTH line of custom built light fixtures, the LiveEdge table concept is at once surprising, familiar, engaging and highly practical. No old growth trees were taken down ever for this series, just sustainable plywood with a playful black and white wood grain laminate surface and the artists hand to create the LiveEdge table top. Bases are fabricated from aluminum in the tradition of Poehlmann's newGROWTH light fixtures -- a jumble of roots or branches fabricated from post-consumer aluminum. LiveEdge dining tables, like the one shown with this release, can be built with an integral chandelier growing up from the base of the table and spreading a canopy of aluminum branches and light from above. CP Lighting is also quite happy to fabricate the tables alone as well, either with a newGROWTH aluminum root base or an all aluminum Nakashima inspired base. As with all of CP Lighting's newGROWTH work, the LiveEdge series is built to order in any size and configuration that our customers require whether it is a dining table or desk, coffee table or console -- each piece is unique.
