Third grade was when reading really happened for me. I still remember getting that Scholastic handout with all the current young reader books advertised, my first book, Star Wars Jedi Apprentice.

Ever since then reading was the thing to do, nothing quite transports me like reading. Characters have enough time to become really developed, we get a chance to read their minds in books, unlike movies. This will be a growing collection of images from stories that I love as I come across them.
