    LISBOA / LISBON

This composition is a contribution to the opening of the CitID site, an ambitious community project where specific designers were invited to design a logo/artwork for their city. The site is now online and open for submissions. My graphic composition is about Lisbon and is based in the affair between Lisbon and the crows, which are one of the city symbols. In Lisbon, the crows are regarded as benevolent. According to legend, crows which accompanied the boat that carried the relics of St. Vincent from Sagres to Lisbon in 1171, remained thereafter, having been adopted as a symbol of loyalty and protection in the the city's coat of arms.
