I have known Lisa for nearly all of my life. I have known her longer than a lot of family members, actually. She and her husband-to-be approached me to design their invitations for their wedding and I couldn't have been more honored. Considering that they're getting married in Vegas, they were really wanting invites that replicated playing cards. They seemed most interested in creating something a little more sophisticated and upscale. I really wanted to create designs that would convey the look and feel of playing cards but also come up with elements that would be uniquely theirs and not just a design ordered from a catalog that anyone could choose.
The invites and coordinating pieces are printed on heavy linen cover stock and will have rounded corners. I chose both the paper and the rounded corners to give it more look and feel of an upscale playing card. The envelopes are French Paper Poptone Razzleberry and have a wraparound label in coordinating colors.
