Waste lands are regions that receives an extremely low amount of precipitation, less than enough to support growth of most plants. They are part of a wide classification of regions that, on an average annual basis, have a moisture deficit.
Wasteland fauna include animals that remain hidden during daylight hours to control body temperature or to limit moisture needs.
