Pitch for invite&identity design for the Liberty Spring Summer New season 2012 press day

ABOUT:
I took inspiration from spring summer 2012 collections and the trends I found the most relevant to work with.
(eclectic colours, sheer, floral prints)
With these elements I tried to create a concept that work with a basic, spring/summer cliché:
- THE FLOWER -
I tried to make it more “now” to mix this with different materials, such as different coloured acetate sheets.
By layering these bright, non-organic coloured materials with the dried flowers, it created a total different colour scheme that almost takes the natural part away and brings in a more synthetically, modern feeling. As the shape is still very clean and balanced, the modern/futuristic feeling of the acetate doesn’t overtake the overall feeling of a bright, summery invite with a clear link to the past (dried flower in poach)
and a adaption of the current trends.
