Back to basics. A lot of my print work has been primarily been done with photopolymer plates. However, this project gets back to the core of letterpress: lead type. These two specific projects were printed while I was a student at Brigham Young University Idaho. These two quotes are two of my favorites. I really gained an appreciation for those who worked with small type. A portion of the quote by Leonardo da Vinci was set with 8 pt type. Those lead pieces were extremely tiny and difficult to work with. Learning the roots of letterpress is key when it comes to understanding the ornate quality of it. Enjoy!
