Letterpress Business Cards
Each day we become more digital, with our smart phones and iGadgets. Don’t get me wrong, I have a deep love for my iPhone,
I do. However, the traditional business card still reigns as an
important, if not one of the most important parts of identity work.
Sure, I can Bump you my info, or tweet you a BizCard, or just send you to my website. Sometimes
those are the right choice, and sometimes there is something more
impressive to me about being handed a physical, tactile card. Maybe it
is the graphic designer in me waxing nostalgic, but I am not alone.
The evolution of my personal business card has not always been a
smooth one. Early on I had a disjointed variety of cards, which I have
refined over the years as circumstances and design experience have
evolved. I recently got my newest stock of letterpress cards from the
amazing to work with The Mandate Press. Seriously, I love you guys. These cards are gorgeous, printed in Pantone 497U with edging in Pantone 390U on Neenah Papers Neutech 160#. The design is a really simple, minimal typographic layout in Hoefler & Frere Jones: Whitney, a sans typeface I am in love with.
I am so excited about these new cards, which I hope will last me some time. It has been an investment well worth it!
