The NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund is a prominent not-for-profit organization in the United States that seeks to achieve racial justice and equality through litigation, advocacy, and public education. The LDF is most famous for Brown v. Board of Education, the landmark Supreme Court case in 1954 in which the Court explicitly outlawed racial segregation of public education facilities. The LDF also famously provided legal counsel for Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. during the civil rights protests of the 1960s. Miguel Buckenmeyer worked as a designer on the project with art direction by Kelly Doe.
