- Problem· To design a set of lecture posters for a talk by John Thackara and his book In the Bubble: Designing in a Complex World.Solution· Illustrate Thackara’s ideas on social issues, the posters juxtapose photographs of organic forms in nature with vector illustrations relating to society. The percentages relate to powerful quotes from the book.
- The posters are implemented on re-purposed canvas; a more sustainable than raw paper.
After the lecture, members of the audience were encouraged to remove the posters and re-use them; creating a shopping bag or other small fabric items.
