I love a challenge and there are times when I need to step away from photography. One of the other artistic endeavors I will do during these times is to create things out of leather. I started doing this about 5 years ago and have made various items over that time, some I'd make for other people and some projects are personal and not very willing to make for other people.

This box is made out of vegetable tanned leather. The celtic love bird pattern and knotwork is have carved and I had dyed the entire piece.
This piece has an 8oz flask, medium size shaker, 4 jigs and a funnel to fill the flask. The box is approximately 8x8x4.

The images on the top of the box and two flasks are black/white prints that are done directly onto a piece of vegetable tanned leather. The rest of the box is made om stone oiled leather making is very soft and it will age more quickly.
