Handmade cigarettes rolled in typewritten transparent paper, inverted cigarette box
  • I reconstructed a pack of cigarettes by inverting the box and replacing the paper of each cigarette with transparent papers on which I had typed words to create a different message on each row of cigarettes. They read: "WE ARE ALL THAT WE NEED", "LEARNING TO LIVE CLOSE TO DEATH", and "WE ARE BUILT TO SELF-DESTRUCT ". The embossed image on the pack is visible on the blank white surface of the inverted box.
