A Large Format Book of Bryant Austin's PhotographyAbrams Books, 2013 - Beautiful Whale is a large format book featuring my photography of whales. It details the first seven years of my work to resolve the inspiration to create life-size photographs of my subjects. The book will feature several photographs of whales eye's at 1:1 scale and also include several gate folds featuring my full body life-size composite photographs. The largest gate fold will be five feet wide.Sylvia Earle has been a profound influence in my work and she has kindly included a foreword to the book.Published by Abrams Books, it is scheduled for release in April, 2013.
