Traditionally, Lao alphabets are recited by saying the letter first followed by the word that beginnings with the letter, e.g. "A" apple, "B" bird, etc... Like most languages, learning the alphabet is the base of reading and writing.  I remember when I was growing up I had to recite these alphabets off an alphabet chart.  Up to this day that alphabet chart remains that same.  I did this project in order to get back to my Lao roots, and also give the traditional Lao alphabet a modern face lift.
