LANDMARK 12
Landmark was founded in 2001 as Bergen Kunsthall’s third exhibition arena. Landmark is primarily a viewing space for new media and cultural expressions that go beyond the possibilities of the institution and the “white cube”.
Landmark is also a cafe and bar that serves delicious, reasonably-priced snacks and sandwiches, cakes and coffees, and offers daily newspapers and free wireless internet access. Bergen Kunsthall is responsible for both Landmark’s artistic activity and the management of the cafe.
Some of the interior are original from the opening of Bergen Kunsthall 1935, designed by the architect
Ole Landmark. So when i was booked for the job, I just knew that some of the furniture had to be used.
I also had a huge archive of Kunsthallen programs to use as the little extra...
