Along a bumpy cobbled street tucked in behind a coastline is La Vineria de Colonia; a lovely little wine shop & tasting room on the shores of Uruguay. Part stone loft, part secret garden, and part boutique, la Vineria is one of those places you'd almost walk right by only to go inside on a whim and spend the rest of your afternoon drooling over Tannats. If I was a two-eared Van Gogh I'd likely hang out at this place on sweaty summer nights and paint something, half-waiting for mandolins to start playing on the front step.
