Lisbon means beauty and grace to me. Many artists are inspired by this city and regard it as a place to retreat from the dreariness of everyday life. The historic city of “Alfama” consists of many wonderful winding alleys. Small ochre houses with small cracks in the plaster decorate the cityscrape. By this the unique atmosphere of Lisbon starts to unfold and its big magic begins. There are undoubtedly enough photography subjects. My challenge consists in capturing this special atmosphere of melancholy and lightness in a picture and to communicate it as a symbiosis and not as a contrast. The focus lies on the fascinating buildings, contorted alleys and meditative wideness. As a passionate about this city, i see my work as a mediator that captures the intimate moments and delivers a special insight of the city.
