This piece was inspired by a combination of both the English and Latin words Limbus and Limbo. In Latin, Limbus is defined as "on the edge" or "boundary". This definition heavily inspired the concept as well as the visual aesthetic of the final piece. The term "Limbo" had a metaphorical influence as well; the state of feeling trapped or lost, nor here nor there.
