- LG - White Goods - Europe Fridge
Project Undertaken whilst employed at Tangerine
Leveraging market share through consumer insight SPAN>During my time at Tangerine Design and Direction, London, I participated in a wide variety of projects for some of the worlds largest consumer brands.
The consultancy was contracted to undertake extensive research in order to unlock insights that would align a new range of fridges with the particular mind set of the European consumer. The Outcome was a product that has allowed LG to produce a product that is relevant to its target market with a salient feature list that makes it easily marketable.
One of my main activities during the project was the organization and undertaking of research in Milan, Italy.
The product was launched at objet d’maison 2010.
EUROPE / 22 June 2010
LG Electronics (LG) today launched it’s latest 385 litre bottom freezer at Maison & Objet 2010 in Paris. The design researched and conceived by Tangerine utilises LG’s latest energy saving compressor technology with smart inner design space to maximise storage capacity. Tangerine undertook extensive one-on-one European consumer insight prior to designing the interior and exterior - to ensure that the features and look of the new 2m tall bottom freezer provide LG with a product that will give them the lead in setting new standards for European kitchen furniture.
The product has been very sucessful to date.
- I learnt alot during this project especially from working in korean culture, I Attended and participated in all meetings. This showed me both sides of the client - consultancy relationship, something that proved very useful when working inside the NHS as a freelance consultant one year later.
