The theme for my final semester project this time was , Farmer's Funk. We are suppose to learn how to be innovative business owners or designpreneurs and produce a portfolio based on creative innovation ownership. We were given the choices Animal farming, Bee farming, Orchard, Poultry farm and Vineyard to expand from.

For my project, I chose the topic Orchard to work on. My brand Leila is the outcome of the fruit orchard. Leila is a local brand in Singapore that manufactures homemade soap catered to young adults age ranging from 18-25 years old. But why Leila ? Because as a Singaporean we have our singlish slag (leh lah lor) and Leila can be read as leh lah.

Since Singapore has a tropical climate, only exotics fruits are able to grow here unlike apples and strawberries. As my brand focuses mainly on local production, the main fruits used for the soaps have to be cultivated in Singapore too. I chose the fruits Rambutan, Guava, Mangosteen and Longan.

And for the USP, it's on the tagline of the brand, "So fresh, it's edible.". The fruits are so organic and the chemical process of the soap is so minimal that it's edible.
LOGO
Inspired by bubbles and cross-section of the fruits.
PACKAGING
Instead of the usual gentle and feminine visual approach to most skincare products, I've decided to go for a more pop and fun feel to it with stronger graphics and colours. My packaging includes handmade soaps and miniature hand sanitizers.
STATIONERY
As the main focus of my entire brand are the pop colours and illustrations, my office stationery are toned down to balance with my packaging. So they are all black and white !
BOOKLET
For my assignment we had to have 1 main item (my 2 set packaging), brand identity (compulsory) and one additional item which is my mini information booklet for first time customers at Leila.
