The League of Extraordinary Designers
The New England School of Art & Design: Senior Show 2011 Theme
Imagine a world, where bad design persists to take over the city of Boston... its citizens can only depend on The League of Extraordinary Designers to save them from the likes of evil Comic Sans.

During my last semester at NESAD the senior class came together and put their hearts into one of the most original (and humorous) art shows the university has seen in a long time. In spirit of our theme, each student was asked to animate their own "design alter-ego" the senior statements. My superhero was inspired by the magic wand tool in Adobe Photoshop and hence The Magic Wanderer was created.
Original drawing on Bristol paper with sharpie.
They call me “The Magic Wanderer.” Although I could be considered magical and undoubtedly have used the magic wand tool from time to time; none of these reasons, however, encompass why I was bestowed with this nickname from my fellow colleagues. The real story is, this quirky brain of mine likes to wander in different places at once. For instance, I’m in the classroom or at home but when there’s a computer involved, I’m also in my element and before I know it, everything including my mind, body, and soul goes into that design. So you can’t blame me if I happen to take a second to react. It’s not that I don’t care, it’s the fact that I care too much especially about designing and the creative process.
