25º fue desarrollada por el equipo de MANTIS con la intención de revalorizar el uso del tubo fluorescente en su formato circular; observando que este tipo de lámpara porta no sólo un uso eficiente de energía sino que además posee por sí misma una cualidad formal que vimos no estaba explotada. Asi nació 25º bajo la premisa de mantener la sencillez y pureza de su forma.
