I began this design with research into Stefan’s background. I have some prior knowledge of his life, which has come from TV & radio advertisements back in my childhood. I always had the impression growing up that he is an illusion of some sort... A man with a giant personality who not only gives to charity’s but effectively creates facades for people everyday through hairstyling.

From here I created a collage with the intention of abstracting the gained knowledge and research of Stefan into a form, which can be integrated with the sky needle site. The collage represented something similar to that of Escher’s staircase... overlapping grids and symmetry. This is similar to my initial thought process that ‘Stefan is like an illusion’. Thus, using this 2d illusion approach the design of Stefan’s site gave a visual experience to the user that represents Stefan and popular culture.
