I came up with the idea of doing these Wisdom Cards whilst working on an Artist Book project, which I chose to make for L. Frank Baum, the writer or The Wizard of Oz series. I realised how profound and lovely some of the quotes from his books and letters were, so thought it would be nice to make cards with the quotes on them, as a kind of step-by-step guide to life.
