Branding a region, school assignment.
Mission: Brand a region in the south-east of Sweden called Österlen in any way and direction to make it more defined and attractive, the concept must contain the business identity, a brand book and a magazine, brochure, website or marketing material.
About Österlen: Österlen is a region in the south-east of Sweden in a region called Skåne (Scania). The area is known for it's beautiful nature located by the ocean. It's also a region known for it's many artists and it's home to many Swedish politicians and celebrities. It's a region mostly for farmers, artists or the upper class. You could say it's Swedens own French Riviera.
Solution: I decided to focus on the rich culture already existing in the region but towards a new target group, culture performing and culture interested people born in the 80's. This is a group of people willing to move for a shorter period in time (for example to study for a few years) and the purpose of KulturKollektivet Österlen (The Culture Collective Österlen) is that every person in the target group moving to Österlen automatically becomes a member of KulturKollektivet. There will be active members (mostly consisting of students) and passive members. The active members will be the ones running KulturKollektivet and producing and distributing the magazine.
When you become a member of KulturKollektivet it's a life time membership and every member is a lifetime subscriber of the magazine, KvartalsRapporten. By keeping the members connection to the area after they move away to start their carriers and adult lives, it's more probable that they come back and keep the area in mind when it's time to "settle down".
