This is a print ad campaign for Knirps, a high-end German umbrella company.  The Knirps umbrella was the first telescoping umbrella and is known today for quality, durability, and portability.

Each ad in this campaign highlights the umbrella's effectiveness against a specific element, e.g. water, ice, and wind. The simple, straight headlines are intended to contrast with humorous, out-there visuals, creating visual/verbal tension.
